What to Expect?

AI in the loop: Use AI as your teammate, not your replacement.

  1. Tech × impact: Design solutions for sustainable business practices.

  2. All levels welcome: Beginner to advanced.

Teaming

  • Individuals are placed into teams of four for diverse collaboration.

  • Pre-formed teams must have four members; we’ll fill any open spots.

What should you build?

Students team up to design a tech-powered business aligned to the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals—building a website that tackles a real social challenge. Along the way they gain 21st-century skills: collaboration, creativity, problem-solving, online learning, and social entrepreneurship.

Past Winners and Student Projects

First Place Winners: Drone Earth

Students: Bram, Alvin, Syed, Cyril

This team won first place for creatively using drones to tackle waste management. Their prototype garbage drone, designed with visual software, showed a viable concept. Using React, they created the most intuitive and appealing website.

Earth

Second Place Winners: Reduce Traffic Mortality Rates

Students: Nawal, Massimo, Japera, Viraj

This group won second place by addressing a top global cause of death. They propose drones patrolling intersections to reduce vehicle crashes and aid victims. Their website features a simple, navigable design.

Third Place Winners: Aid to the Amazon

Students: Calder, Arwa, Gabrielle, George

This group highlights the need for drones to monitor deforestation in the Amazon. Drones patrol burned areas and collect data. Their website features a fitting theme and a unique donation option.
