Hackathon Info Session - Brooklyn, NY

  • St. Joseph's High School 80 Willoughby Street Brooklyn, NY, 11201 United States (map)

We Connect the Dots' First Annual International Back-to-School Hackathon is taking place this January in schools around the globe! The info session is a chance for students, parents, community members and sponsors to find out how they can get involved and meet members of the We Connect the Dots team. Presentations will include how to fundraise to attend, what exciting content will be presented during the event, and what students will take away. The Hackathon will include lessons on coding in HTML5, using Microsoft's Azure Solutions Platform, and the role that technology skills will have in the future of the global job market. No coding experience is necessary! Industry professionals will be delivering important talks and instruction, and there are lots of great prizes available for teams with the best project. The info session is free to all. A question and answer session will follow a short presentation delivered by WCTD staff. Join us to learn all about how the Hackathon and how we are delivering access to technology for students around the world, starting right here on Long Island.
