We Connect The Dots is a not for profit organization that creates education experiential learning programs for students ages 13-25.  Our mission is to inspire and educate students in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) careers.  Through a collaboration with the community, education, government and the technology industry, WCTD provides awareness and education of the 21st Century workforce skills, as well as the opportunities available to students embracing STEAM careers.  Impacting students at a local, national and global level, our programs create a hunger for learning that empowers students to find their own paths to success.

Job Description

The Administrative Assistant will provide reliable, timely, and professional support to the CEO, Program Manager, and a staff of volunteers to enhance the organization's brand awareness, funding, and education programs. The Assistant will provide support through social media, nurture marketing and constituent retention platforms. A successful candidate will require the independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage organization social media presence

  • Mange online and direct marketing campaigns

  • Maintain marketing/constituent database

  • Maintain marketing and education calendar

  • Manage event budget for conferences as well as Sponsor relationships.

  • Assist in event management for internal events including seminars, conferences, webinars, tradeshows, roundtables etc.

  • Assist in the development and editing of communications including collateral and funding scripts.

  • Lead sourcing of branded promotional items and printing.

  • Calendar and email administration for CEO 

Preferred Requirements

Applicant should be passionate about education and technology, looking to build experience and learn to utilize the latest technology tools in a high tech organization with team members ready to teach and inspire the right candidate.

The following are competencies that will be taught in this role.  Candidates that bring already developed competencies in these areas will increase their likelihood to be selected.

  • Online and traditional campaign management/demand generation/lead nurturing

  • Social media experience

  • Experience with CRM software, preferably Microsoft CRM

  • Experience with Marketing Automation software

  • Ability to operate with a sense of urgency

  • Ability to think strategically and willingness to implement tactics

  • Advanced skills in all Microsoft Office, especially MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Exceptional editing and grammar skills

  • HTML knowledge
