Nebula Academy- STEAM Training

Registration is now open!

The Nebula Academy - STEAM Training is a program designed for students ages 16-21 who are interested in exploring the careers and necessary skills related to computer science. Learning skills in computer science can support success in just about any field that students might pursue. This is an opportunity to build your skills and to help others at the same time. This 5 day immersive program provides students with competencies in coaching to support learning to teach other students and to build your skills in coding. Students who demonstrate a strong aptitude in coding and in their ability to teach others will have an opportunity to be placed in paid summer programs where they will be a part of teaching young students what they have learned. Learning to teach is a powerful way to build a deeper knowledge of coding, while developing strong communications and leaderships skills.

Summer teaching opportunities are not guaranteed, however students who complete the program successfully and demonstrate capacity to teach will be placed in a resource pool for selection by local Long Island summer STEM programs.

This is a (5) day multi part program taking place during the Spring Break in April. The program begins each day at 8:30 AM and ends at 4:00 PM.

Program dates: April 22-26

Hosted in partnership with the Game Studio
